MUAYAD MOUSA ALAYAN

Muayad Mousa Alayan is a Jerusalem-based Palestinian filmmaker and cultural activist. His first documentary, Exiles in Jerusalem, won a Kodak award in San Francisco in 2005 and has been screened at a number of international film festivals including the City Shorts Film Festival in San Francisco, the Cinema Arabe Film Festival in Amsterdam, the Toronto Alucine Latino Film Festival and the Boston Palestine Film Festival. His second documentary Qatr El-Nada has been screened at the San Francisco Arab Film Festival and was broadcast several times nationally in Palestine.

Alayan is the initiator and designer of a series of filmmaking workshops for youth in Jerusalem and the West Bank. He is also directing a TV debate show at the Bethlehem Media Center – a show titled “Echoes of Life” which is broadcast on all local TV channels. Alayan also teaches cinematography and lighting at Dar Al Kalima College. Alayan attended film school at the City College of San Francisco in 2003. He is currently in the script development phase for his next film and first feature.

CHRISTIAN BRUNO

Christian Bruno’s films have played around the world, from Needles, CA to Tehran, Iran. The short documentary Pie Fight ’69 (made with Sam Green) received numerous awards, including from the Sundance, Black Maria, and Chicago Underground Film Festivals, and continues to play worldwide. He has received commissions from the SF Arts Commission for film and film-based installations, and is a recent fellow of the MacDowell Colony. As a cinematographer, Christian’s work appears in Natalija Vekic’s award-winning short Lost & Found, and the 2007 feature films Revolution Summer by Miles Montalbano, and David Lewis’ Rock Haven. He lives in San Francisco.



CARLOS ISAEL
Editor and Camera Assistant

Carlos Isael was born in Mexico City and shot his first super8 film, Altar, at the age of 18. It premiered at Cinematexas film festival. He emigrated to the USA to study film. He attended San Francisco State University where he obtained a BA in film production. His films have been shown in diverse film festivals, galleries and museums in the USA and Mexico. He is in the development phase of his first feature film.



RAMI MUSA ALAYAN
Co-Writer and co-Producer

Rami M. Alayan is a screenwriter and interaction designer living in San Francisco. His work in user experience design led him to extend the scope of his work from designing interactive experiences for web users to designing motion picture experiences for movie goers via screenwriting. He Rami has recently completed the UCLA Extension Feature Film Writing program. He is currently working on his second feature length script.
